The organising committee is delighted to announce three Keynote Speakers for the 2014 conference - Dr Don Hein (Independent scholar), an expert on Southeast Asian kiln technologies; Dr Armand Desbat (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique), ceramics specialist at EFEO Siem Reap; and Dr Li Baoping (Sotheby's), Chinese ceramics expert.

The conference will be carried out in two languages, Khmer and English, and provision will be made for interpreting between the two. Speakers will have 20 minutes to present their paper and around 5 minutes for discussion.

Please note that the Organising Committee can only provide coffee and snack food for conference attendees. Lunch can be purchased from the APSARA cafeteria.

A conference after-party will be held at EFEO, Siem Reap on the evening of Monday December 8th, starting at 7pm. Free drinks and finger food will be provided for conference participants. The party will also feature a live demonstration of a scale model kiln firing.

A field excursion and museum visit is being organised for Wednesday, December 10th. The day will include a visit to the Tani kiln site and field museum, followed by a visit to the Norodom Sihanouk museum. Interested participants will be asked to notify the staff during conference registration.
